I worked with SecureNet Services Inc. to prepare our Cisco network for VoIP using ShoreTel equipment. This project was a first for us on many levels: our first roll-out of VoIP, first pilot program with ShoreTel and first foray into network convergence. They turned on QoS in our core and edge switches and made sure trunking and the new (voice) VLANs worked correctly. They did an outstanding job of diagnosing and troubleshooting a very difficult problem that turned out to be completely unrelated their area of responsibility, or the work they'd done on this project. The circuit we were running over "sort of" worked and since it didn't have an outright failure, it was a challenge to isolate exactly why it wasn't working. The network engineer, however, was very methodical and thorough in his troubleshooting process and after confirming all the Cisco configuration changes, he determined that it was the carrier that was experiencing a problem with our circuit.

They know the networking (and equipment) side cold and provided us, the customer, with various options and clearly spelled out the limitations of some of our aging equipment. They were refreshingly different from the many consultants we've hired in the past that show up; don't communicate well and don't bother to explain options or talk their clients through potential solutions. They were professional and courteous at all times and I would definitely hire them again for what seems to be our constantly changing network environment.
